Take The First Step Towards Feeling Better

Hi! I’m Julie, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision Designation (LPCC-S).  I believe that everyone deserves to have a place to feel seen, heard, and accepted just as they are, with no fear of judgement. 

I describe my experience in the field as a "sampler platter," working with people of all walks of life, ages, concerns, and lived experiences. I’ve worked with children, teens, adults, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds in both telehealth and in-person settings. My background includes providing treatment in community mental health centers, schools, and in juvenile detention centers. Most of my work has led me to working with neurodivergent individuals, people struggling with anxiety, depression, complex trauma, and relationship issues. Overall, I enjoy being along for the ride in someone else's journey; getting to build relationships, celebrate highs, and sit with them in their lows. 

My primary approach is person centered therapy, meeting each person where they are at that moment. From there, I like to access my toolbox of interventions. My go-to modalities come from motivational interviewing, CBT, DBT, and strength based approaches. Naturally I am flexible to my approach to sessions and how you would like to work on your goals. If you prefer structure and homework, can do! If you want to talk until we find the topic for the day, I’m here for it!

 When I’m not at work, I like spending time with family, friends, and my dog Frodo, as well as crafting, listening to a podcast, and binging a tv show.

Typically, the hardest part of therapy is making the 1st call to schedule. I would be honored to celebrate that win of starting therapy and getting to know you more!
